2- How do you build large-scale
industrial and commercial projects?
RBS is very flexible and can be designed as a load bearing
or non-load bearing wall. The System can also be integrated
easily with pre-engineered buildings or structural steel.
To facilitate on-site construction and to reduce labor for
large-scale projects, RBS Forms can be panelized into 8' wide
wall panels and to the full height of the building. In essence,
the system is installed in a similar manner to a precast wall,
without the restrictions (i.e. weight, shipping loads, interior
connection, etc
)

3- How do you engineer an RBS
wall?
RBS Walls can be engineered in 3 ways:
1- Plain Concrete Design (e.g. foundation wall)
2- Polymer Reinforced Concrete Design (e.g. concrete home)
3- Steel Reinforced Concrete Design (e.g. multi-storey)
The first and third design methods are governed by existing
building codes and use standard design criteria, ACI 318 in
the USA and CSA A23.3 in Canada.
The second design method uses the polymer to reinforce the
concrete - design calculations are contained in the Engineering
Guide.

4- What finishes can be applied to
the RBS Walls?
Any conventional finishing material can be applied to the
interior or exterior surface of an RBS Wall, including:
1. Drywall (glued or mechanically fastened)
2. Paint (use approved PVC paint)
3. Stucco (use approved primer coat before applying stucco
to RBS Wall)
4. Vinyl Siding
5. Brick, Stone, and Shake Veneers (glued or mechanically
fastened)
6. Wall Paper
5- How do doors and windows
integrate into the RBS Walls?
There are 2 methods to integrate doors and windows into the
RBS System:
1. Create a rough opening (no frames)
2. Create an opening using RBS integrated adjustable door
jambs and window jambs
6- Is the RBS System compatible
with AutoCAD?
Yes. All RBS components have been programmed in 3D for use
with AutoCAD 14 and AutoCAD 2000. Walls, windows, doors and
openings can be drawn in 3D in both metric and imperial dimensions,
and all operations are fully compatible with AutoCAD functions.
This add-on tool bar, called RBSD for AutoCAD, along with
a wide selection of typical details, are available for download
free of charge in our Technical Resource Center.

7- Is the RBS System approved by all
major building codes?
Yes. Royal Building Technologies meets or exceeds all major
building codes around the world. The System has been used
and approved in over 60 countries.
In the USA, RBS has obtained ICBO, BOCA and NYCRR approval.
In Canada, RBS is approved by CCMC and BMEC.
